Our Story

Halle Irish Doodle of Mountain Blue Doodles

Olivia and Irish Doodle Halle

I've always had the good fortune to come home to wet noses and wagging tails, and the quote "Dogs don't make our whole lives, but they do make our lives whole." are words that I find explain my relationship with dogs perfectly.

In my very first work venture, I started a dog walking business with a good friend of mine (thanks Sammy!). We had 4 walkers and made more than minimum wage - wow! I got to enjoy walking dogs while at the same time being with my friends. The dogs were great and working with them and their owners was extremely rewarding, in many more ways than the money. It was my first taste of doing business in the world of dogs and I was hooked.

We've all heard people give advice to others to "follow your dreams", and it always seems important and like a very good idea - for them! But maybe not so realistic for me personally. Starting a dog breeding business most definitely fell into that category - a dream I'd like to follow but a far-fetched idea at best - until now! I've always been a very passionate person, and you may say, a bit "outside the box". I started chewing on the idea of a dog breeding business and I just couldn't stop the momentum.

Doodles!

With extensive research I finally decided the wonderful "doodle" was something I wanted to be a part of. In particular, I fell in love with both the Irish Doodle and the Goldendoodle. I was surprised that there are not very many F1B Doodle breeders, and believed I had found my niche.

Now, the hard part - how to find F1 Doodles that would give me the quality I was looking for in the middle of Utah. After many Google sessions, I was lucky enough to find the perfect puppy to begin our program. We decided on Halle, a dark red Irish Doodle. Halle is everything they say about Doodles, and more. We couldn't be more in love with her.

Then we set out to find an F1 Goldendoodle puppy to be our first Goldendoodle Mom. Well - we found two sisters that we fell in love with. They are everything we were looking for in a Goldendoodle - great coloring, great coats, and excellent temperaments.

Our Irish Doodles and Goldendoodles are now retired. After finding the Berndoodle, we decided that doing one breed very well was better than trying to do three breeds. It lets us find the perfect studs and the perfect Moms to produce what we think are the best Bernedoodle puppies out there.

With the passion I feel for these gorgeous dogs, it is my sincere honor and mission to have Mountain Blue Doodles produce top quality puppies for wonderful families all over the country.
